Email Marketing Application Biography
A graduate of NC State University, Erika Roe has been involved in email marketing since 2006. Starting with her passion for classical music, she first pursued email marketing in non-profits. Volunteering for the NC Symphony, WCPE Radio 89.7 FM, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Triangle, and the American Marketing Association (AMA) Triangle chapter, she frequently helps others with their email marketing.
In her current role at NC State University as Matching Gift Manager (since 2006), she pioneered the email marketing program to increase fundraising dollars for NC State’s matching gift program. She increased fundraising dollars 17% in the first year. She started the A/B testing program and has helped many colleagues with email marketing including the Chancellor’s Office, Annual Giving, College of Engineering, University Planning & Analysis, and University Donor Relations & Donor Communications. She also spearheaded the Bronto user group at NC State. Erika also led the website redesign project for the NC State Advancement Services website redesign.
She managed email campaigns for several different departments, including the Chancellors Office (their holiday card for 2009 and 2010), a re-engagement campaign for Industrial Engineering (IE) alumni with the College of Engineering (we sent a series of emails to IE alumni and received almost 1,000 biographical updates and invited all the alumni to an upcoming event with the dean), a series of survey emails for University Planning & Analysis (to get biographical updates for new alums and find out about their experience at NC State which helps us to find new alumni for volunteer leadership programs). Finally, she was also an integral part of the team that sent out a series of (30k emails each send) emails for the Chancellor Installation event in October 2010.
