Phillip O'Hara, co-founder and CEO of Directory One Inc, started the corporation with the idea of providing affordable listings for small businesses in online directories. This idea of providing directory assistance is carried on is several of Directory One's partner companies: Check Houston, Free Web Search, E-Free Domain Registration and Free Directory Assistance.
Concept
Philip O'Hara, CEO of Directory One, spent the first several years of his advertising career working as a consultant to yellow page directories. However, when he began to notice a shift away from traditional, paper directories to directories on the web, Philip, too, switched his allegiance. In just a few short years, the Internet has become an invaluable advertising medium. Research shows that the Internet is growing at a rate that is four times faster than television grew, and nine times faster than radio. However, many business owners still don't have a web site, and almost all business owners do not use the Internet to their full advantage.
